The Ghana Police Service has moved to correct earlier reports suggesting that arrests had been made in connection with a fire outbreak at the Accra Central Police Barracks.<\/p>\n

In a press release dated June 4, 2026, the Regional Public Affairs Unit clarified that no arrests have been made at this stage of the investigation. <\/p>\n

The statement, signed by Superintendent Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs for the Accra Region, urges the public to disregard earlier claims.<\/p>\n

Authorities have confirmed that there were no fatalities resulting from the incident. <\/p>\n

However, one fire officer who sustained injuries during firefighting operations is currently receiving treatment at the Police Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.<\/p>\n

The cause of the fire remains unknown, as investigations are still underway.<\/p>\n
