Manchester City star Jeremy Doku disclosed that he has visited Ghana once and is fluent in the popular local language Twi, despite being born in Antwerp and opting to represent Belgium over Ghana at the international level.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Doku, who has made 20 appearances for Belgium and scored two goals, emphasised his pride in his Ghanaian heritage, stating, \u201cOf course, I\u2019m Ghanaian also because my parents are Ghanaians. I also speak Twi, which is a language in Ghana. I\u2019ve been there once and I\u2019ll have to go back there again because it was a long time ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

Doku, who joined Manchester City from Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes last summer in a \u00a355.5m deal, expressed satisfaction with his performance so far, stating, \u201cI think I\u2019ve had a good start because people didn\u2019t expect me to play [much] when I came here. But I\u2019m doing it and it\u2019s good because it\u2019s a top team and playing minutes in this team is a great thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

He acknowledged areas for improvement, adding, \u201cIt can always be better, be more efficient and help the team more. Those are parts of the game that I can still work on, so it\u2019s not perfect. But I think I\u2019m doing a good start and if I keep on going like this, of course, I can only be better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Manchester City, vying for their fourth consecutive Premier League title, have also advanced to the FA Cup final where they will face city rivals Manchester United. Doku has contributed five goals and eight assists for the team this season.<\/p>\n
