Gospel musician Nana Osei, better known by his stage as Nacee has expressed his dissatisfaction at not having received a nomination for Songwriter of the Year at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking in an interview with TV3 on May 3, Nacee said he thought his compositions and lyrical substance merited nomination for the said category.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, one of the categories that we wish we would have been nominated for is the Songwriter of the Year because in Aseda, the composition is really deep,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n

Reflecting on his own experience, Nacee said he wasn\u2019t surprised about his nomination for TGMA due to the successes of his song \u2018Aseda\u2019 and his contributions to the industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, I knew I would be nominated because the song \u2018Aseda\u2019 and the artiste did pretty well.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe management did a lot of things to make sure that at least we would be nominated as well,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Nacee earned three nominations for this year\u2019s TGMA including Artiste of the Year, Gospel Song of the Year and Gospel Artiste of the Year.<\/p>\n
