It was a day of high energy, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments as the 2025 edition of the Global Media Alliance Group (GMA) CEO\u2019s Cup took centre stage at the Ghana Gas Park on Friday, June 20. <\/p>\n

What began as a friendly interbrand competition culminated in an electrifying final that saw PMI clinch the coveted CEO\u2019s Cup with a commanding 3-1 victory over GMA.<\/p>\n

The tournament brought together six spirited teams, GMA, PMI, Silverbird, Happy FM, YFM, and Sales\u2014each determined to leave their mark on the pitch. With pride, bragging rights, and a generous prize on the line, the games were nothing short of intense.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s champions, PMI, showcased dominance and coordination throughout the tournament. Their tactical brilliance and unwavering teamwork saw them soar past their opponents and into the finals, where they faced off against GMA. <\/p>\n

With swift passes, clinical finishes, and relentless defence, PMI triumphed with three goals to one, taking home not only the trophy but an additional cash prize of GH\u00a25,000.<\/p>\n

The host team, Silverbird, fought fiercely throughout the tournament, displaying grit, passion, and unwavering determination, wanting to have a three-peat in the competition, but this did not happen as they were taken out in the semi-finals by PMI. <\/p>\n

GMA came second two years in a row while defending champions Silverbird had to settle for third place this time around. <\/p>\n

YFM followed closely in fourth, Sales claimed fifth, and Happy FM rounded out the standings in sixth position.<\/p>\n

The tournament also included a thrilling women\u2019s penalty shootout contest, where the YFM ladies emerged victorious, showcasing skill and confidence in front of a cheering crowd.<\/p>\n

Now in its fourth edition, the GMA CEO\u2019s Cup continues to serve as more than just a football tournament. It is a celebration of unity, teamwork, and the competitive spirit that defines the Global Media Alliance brand. <\/p>\n

The event, first introduced in 2019, was initiated by the CEO, Mr. Ernest Boateng, as part of GMA\u2019s commitment to employee wellness, collaboration, and inter-brand bonding.<\/p>\n

In his closing remarks, Mr. Boateng commended all teams for their effort and sportsmanship. <\/p>\n

\u201cToday wasn\u2019t just about football; it was about connection, fun, and teamwork. These are the same values that fuel our daily operations across GMA\u2019s brands,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

\u201cCongratulations to PMI and to all the teams that showed up with such passion. This is what the CEO\u2019s Cup is about,\u201d Mr. Boateng added.<\/p>\n

Also present was Fafa Gbeho, Head of HR for the Group, who lauded the event as \u201ca refreshing reminder of the power of community within the corporate space.\u201d<\/p>\n
