Ghana captain Andre Ayew added another goal to his recent streak, contributing to Le Havre\u2019s essential 3-1 triumph over Strasbourg, lifting them further away from the Ligue 1 drop zone.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having previously registered a goal in Le Havre\u2019s exhilarating 3-3 stalemate against champions Paris Saint-Germain, Ayew once again proved instrumental in front of goal, finding the target deep into injury time.<\/p>\n

Le Havre gained momentum early on, taking the lead in the 24th minute. Yassine Kechta headed home expertly after connecting with a pinpoint cross delivered by winger Josue Casimir.<\/p>\n

Kechta struck again, nodding in another close-range header resulting from Casimir\u2019s enticing delivery from the right wing.<\/p>\n

Strasbourg attempted a comeback, reducing the deficit in the dying moments with Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Guilbert heading in from close proximity. Regardless, they fell short of salvaging a point, conceding a late third goal due to Andre Ayew\u2019s clinical finish in stoppage time.<\/p>\n

This hard-earned victory moved Le Havre three points above the dreaded relegation zone, although their fate remains uncertain pending the outcomes involving fellow combatants Nantes and Metz across the weekend.<\/p>\n

Andr\u00e9 Ayew, who signed on a brief contract until the conclusion of the ongoing campaign, now stands tall with six goals under his belt.<\/p>\n
