Lashibi, June 02, GNA \u2014 Mr Ludwig Teye Totimeh, the Tema West Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has toured selected West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) centres in the municipality and urged candidates to approach the examinations with confidence and integrity.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The monitoring exercise, conducted as part of the municipality\u2019s annual support for candidates, took the MCE and his delegation to the Lashibi Community Day Senior High School and Corpus Christi Senior High School examination centres.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr Totimeh said the visit was to assess the conduct of the examinations and encourage candidates as they sat for their Social Studies paper.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He urged the students to remain calm, avoid fear, and focus on applying the knowledge acquired throughout their years of study.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The MCE commended examination officials for ensuring smooth administration of the examinations and adherence to regulations governing the conduct of the WASSCE.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to him, reports from the centres indicated that no cases of examination malpractice or absenteeism had been recorded during the paper.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Addressing candidates at Lashibi Community Day Senior High School, Mr Totimeh reminded them that their performance in the examinations would reflect the investments made by their parents and guardians in their education.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He advised them to rely on their preparation and the lessons taught by their teachers rather than resorting to examination malpractice.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr Totimeh further challenged the candidates to strive for academic excellence and contribute to raising the profile of their schools through outstanding results.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He wished the candidates success in the remaining papers, including Core Mathematics, and expressed the hope that they would\u00a0emerge\u00a0as responsible future leaders of the country.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
