Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club assistant head coach, Abdul Rahim Bashiru, has dismissed the notion that Accra Lions played better than his side when the teams faced off in a Ghana Premier League tie played out today at the Accra Sports Stadium.<\/p>\n

Accra Lions beat Hearts of Oak 1-0 to condemn the latter to its fourth loss in five games on the back of losses to Legon Cities, Medeama SC and Bibiani Gold Stars.<\/p>\n

Lions bagged the game\u2019s only goal in the 56th minute through Ibrahima Issah who planted the ball into the roof of the net after a brilliantly worked build up.<\/p>\n

Speaking in a post game interview after the loss, Rahim Bashiru bemoaned his team\u2019s profligacy and was adamant that Lions wasn\u2019t better than his team but took its chance to score the goal that got them the win.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo I don\u2019t think so because from the blast of the whistle we controlled the game. In the first half, there were a lot of spaces in their team and we should have punished them but we didn\u2019t take our chances. I don\u2019t think they played better than us but just that they took the chance that they had and scored a goal. That\u2019s the difference.\u201d<\/p>\n
