{"id":56534,"date":"2025-05-19T11:14:38","date_gmt":"2025-05-19T11:14:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sotnews.agency\/?p=56534"},"modified":"2025-05-19T11:14:38","modified_gmt":"2025-05-19T11:14:38","slug":"carragher-blames-kudus-dip-in-form-for-west-hams-poor-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sotnews.agency\/?p=56534","title":{"rendered":"Carragher blames Kudus\u2019 dip in form for West Ham\u2019s poor season"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class='booster-block booster-read-block'>\n                <div class=\"twp-read-time\">\n                \t<i class=\"booster-icon twp-clock\"><\/i> <span>Read Time:<\/span>1 Minute, 11 Second                <\/div>\n\n            <\/div><div>\n<p>Former England defender Jamie Carragher has attributed West Ham United\u2019s struggles in the 2024\/2025 Premier League season to a decline in form by Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus.<\/p>\n<p>Kudus impressed in his debut Premier League campaign in 2023\/2024 after joining from Ajax, registering a combined 14 goals and assists across league and European competitions. <\/p>\n<p>His contributions helped the Hammers secure a strong finish domestically and in the Europa League.<\/p>\n<p>This season, however, the 24-year-old has managed only four goals and two assists in 29 league appearances.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the reasons why West Ham are where they are this season is because he hasn\u2019t shown the form that he showed last season,\u201d Carragher said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast season, he looked fantastic; he just hasn\u2019t looked the same player this season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carragher also suggested that Kudus could be sold at the end of the season as West Ham look to raise funds, noting the player is attracting interest from top European clubs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t be surprised if there was a change there in some way, because West Ham need the money,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOther clubs might think this is an off-season for him.
