The 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards came with the glitz and glams and musician\u00a0Sylvester Kwakye, widely known in showbiz circles as Chairman K, did not lose out on this experience.<\/p>\n

Clad in a sharp, dark blue tailored suit accentuated with elaborate gold embroidery along the shoulder and sleeve, Chairman K stood tall and proud against a vivid red backdrop. <\/p>\n

The outfit, paired with a crisp white shirt, slim black tie, and a regal black traditional cap with gold designs, symbolized both cultural pride and personal reinvention. His look drew admiration, capturing the attention of many at the event for its blend of sophistication and identity.<\/p>\n

Chairman K has been a notable figure in Ghana\u2019s music industry since 1999. He shot to fame in 2003 with his nationwide hit \u201cAIDS\u00a0Aduro\u201d, a song that resonated across communities for both its rhythm and message. Over the years, he has collaborated with celebrated Ghanaian artistes such as\u00a0Flowking\u00a0Stone and Kwadwo Nkansah (LilWin).<\/p>\n

However, the journey hasn\u2019t always been smooth. Balancing academics and music proved challenging, prompting him to pause his music career to pursue higher education. Chairman K is an alumnus of Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School (OKESS) and holds both a Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s degree in Mathematics Education.<\/p>\n

Now, he returns to the limelight with new music, including \u201cWogye\u00a0Wo Din\u201d and the controversial \u201cM3bo Wo Dua\u201d, which sparked public debate and a fiery clash with outspoken entertainment critic Sally Mann.\u00a0Following Sally\u2019s critique of his song, the musician, without equivocation, threatened to assault the critic, as he deemed the remarks as an attack on his career.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With plans to collaborate with artists from Nigeria, Liberia, and South Africa, Chairman K\u2019s resurgence signals not just a comeback, but a reinvention\u2014and judging by both his style and energy, he\u2019s back with a bang.<\/p>\n
