Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Isshaku\u2019s performance against Southampton has been described as fantastic <\/strong>by Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca.<\/p>\n

He said this in his post game interview after seeing his side beat Southampton 5-0 in the Sky Bet English Championship on Tuesday, April 23.<\/p>\n

The win moves Leicester City closer to secure automatic promotion to the English Premier League in its first attempt after getting relegated at the end of the 2022-2023 season.<\/p>\n

His performance improved his production for Leicester City while on loan from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon to six goals and 12 assists in 39 league games.<\/p>\n

Issahaku scored a hat-trick in the 5-0 win with this being his first in his professional football career; he assisted Jamie Vardy\u2019s goal for Leicester\u2019s fourth. Speaking about Issahaku, Maresca said,<\/p>\n

\u201cHis performance was fantastic but I think all the team was very good. We would like to score goals always, but the opponent is always there. We took our chances tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Leicester City need a win in of their two remaining games to seal qualification to the Premier League; The Foxes play against Preston North End on Monday, April 29.<\/p>\n
