The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has challenged Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club players to prove that they are capable of turning the club\u2019s horrible form around.<\/p>\n

He said this in address to the team in a meeting held earlier today as Kotoko endures a torrid time in the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season.<\/p>\n

The club ranks 11th in the 18 team league standings at the time of publication and has a draw and six losses in seven games in the second half of the league season.<\/p>\n

In the lead up to the end of the first round, Kotoko had four wins and a draw in the month of December and ranked second in the league standings.<\/p>\n

However, Kotoko\u2019s form has taken a terrible turn prompting The Asantehene to make the call and challenge members of the playing unit.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am expecting something better from you\u201d he said before briefly touching on Kotoko\u2019s under fire head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum\u2019s standing with the club stating,<\/p>\n

\u201cProve to me that you are capable and if the coach is the problem, then I will take a decision on him. But for now, make sure you go and play and win.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kotoko take on league leaders FC Samartex on Sunday, April 21 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi at 15:00 GMT.<\/p>\n
