Organisers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), Charterhouse have announced nominees for three newly added categories.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The categories are Producer of the Year, Best Video Director and Audio Engineer of the Year.<\/p>\n

According to Robert Klah, the PRO of Charterhouse, these categories waited to ensure proper review and accuracy.<\/p>\n

TGMA rectifies Amerado\u2019s \u2018Kweku Ananse\u2019 song, adds it to Most popular song of the Year category<\/a><\/p>\n

Earlier on April 5, nominees for the unsung artiste of the year category were unveiled during TV3\u2019s New Day show.<\/p>\n

Head of Communications at Charterhouse, Robert Klah announced Kasar, Lali X Lola, Keeny Ice, Kwesi Amewuga, Seven Kizs and Alaptawan as nominees for the Unsung artiste of the year category.<\/p>\n

In a press release on April 16, the board also announced the nomination of the original version of Amerado\u2019s Kweku Ananse song for the most popular song of the year category.<\/p>\n

This follows a review by the board after Amerado and other artistes had petitioned the board concerning some omission and errors related to the nominations for this year\u2019s TGMA.<\/p>\n

Unsung Artiste of the Year nominees<\/p>\n

The board in its statement admitted it erred with the nomination of Amerado\u2019s Kweku Ananse and Lonely Road by O\u2019 Kenneth and Xlim Kid.<\/p>\n

The statement noted that instead of the board nominating the original version of Amerado\u2019s song, it rather considered the remix version of \u2018Kweku Ananse\u2019.<\/p>\n

I got into music because my crush always associated with musicians \u2013 Tiwa Savage<\/a><\/p>\n

It explained that the omission was the reason Amerado\u2019s song did not earn a spot in the most popular song of the year category.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Board has reviewed this and consequently nominated \u2018Kweku Ananse\u2019 by Amerado to replace the remix version in the Best Highlife Category. The song has also been nominated in the Most Popular Song of the Year Category,\u201d TGMA said.<\/p>\n

Another adjustment was \u201cLonely Road\u201d by O\u2019Kenneth & Xlim Kid. Originally submitted as a featured work, the board rectified the entry to reflect it as a joint project by both artists.<\/p>\n
