Member of Parliament-elect for Sunyani West Constituency, Millicent Amankwah Yeboah, has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to President-elect John Dramani Mahama for appointing Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate in the 2024 General Election.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following the declaration of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as winners of the 2024 presidential elections, Professor Opoku-Agyemang is set to make history as Ghana\u2019s first female Vice President.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on this groundbreaking moment, Millicent Amankwah Yeboah stated, \u201cI want to say a very big thank you to John Mahama for choosing a female as his running mate and now Vice President.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Sunyani West MP-elect in an interview on 3FM<\/a> on Tuesday, December 17, also addressed perceptions of politics being a challenging space for women, asserting that such views do not deter her. \u201cI don\u2019t see women in politics as a risky game because of how prepared my mind is,\u201d she remarked.<\/p>\n
