The Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah has urged Ghanaians to vote for the flagbearer of his party, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in this year\u2019s elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He says that a Bawumia administration promises sustainable economic growth, employment opportunities, and expedited development.<\/p>\n

In a post on his X platform, he said \u201cLet\u2019s take a bold step towards progress with Bawumia as our leader. Let\u2019s reject any idea of regression and embrace the promise of sustainable economic growth, employment opportunities, and expedited development.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith Bawumia at the helm, Ghana can strive towards a brighter future. It\u2019s Possible. Stay away from the NDC that offers nothing but fear in the guise of improvement. Let\u2019s not be deceived. Instead, let\u2019s vote for Bawumia and the NPP, the team that can genuinely deliver on their promises. It\u2019s Possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

He further said that as President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will partner with the private sector to train 1 million Ghanaian youth in information technology skills such as software developers to provide job opportunities worldwide.<\/p>\n

This, he said, will enable Ghana to take full advantage of the 4th industrial revolution.<\/p>\n

With digitalization, Mr Ahiagbah further stated, Ghanaian youth are going to be given an edge to compete globally.<\/p>\n

The flagbearer of the NPP, Dr Bawumia had stated among other things in his address that he wants to build a Ghana where they can leverage technology, data, and systems for inclusive economic growth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want us to apply digital technology, STEM, robotics and artificial intelligence for the transformation of agriculture, healthcare, education, manufacturing, fintech and public service delivery. As part of this process it is my goal to eliminate the digital divide by achieving close to 100% internet penetration. We have already made very significant progress in this direction by increasing internet penetration from 34% in 2016 to 72% in 2023 (by more than double!!!). The task in the next four years is to move from 72% to close to 100%! It is possible!<\/p>\n\n

\u201cI want to see Ghana build the digital talent we require for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This will mean providing digital and software skills to hundreds of thousands of youth.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis along with other policies, will create jobs for the youth, including school dropouts. In collaboration with the private sector, we will train at least 1,000,000 youth in IT skills,
\nincluding software developers to provide job opportunities worldwide.<\/p>\n

\u201cGenerally, there will be an enhanced focus on TVET education. My government will also support the establishment of a National Open University Ghana in collaboration with the private sector with a focus on Technical and vocational skills and ICT.\u201d<\/div>\n
