Renowned actor Van Vicker has spoken out about why he did not feature in Lil Win\u2019s film, \u201cA Country Called Ghana,\u201d despite being first approached for the lead role.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Had he featured, Van Vicker was to play the primary role of a British colonial master, this is the same role that Nigerian actor Ramsey Nouah ultimately took on.<\/p>\n

Speaking in an interview on Hello FM over the weekend, Van Vicker revealed that he was informed that he would need to be present on set for a full month when he was approached about the role.<\/p>\n

He said he couldn\u2019t commit to such a long time because he was a student. He suggested condensing all of his sequences into 10 days, adding that his rates would increase the more days he was required, and he wasn\u2019t sure the company could afford it.<\/p>\n

.\u201dAs a matter of fact, Fii Frank Garbin called me and said he wanted me to play the role Ramsey played in that movie. So I wanted to know when we were shooting because I was in school.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe got back and said the producer needed me for one month. I said one month is too much. \u00a0What are we filming? You should know that with actors, the more days you require, the more fees I will charge, so the earlier you finish, the better.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo you need me for one month; are you sure you can pay me for one full month? So I told him for one month I can\u2019t do the work because I\u2019m in school.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told him what I could do was ten days, and if he could do ten days, then I would do the work,\u201d Van Vicker explained.<\/p>\n

But Lil Win said the ten-day plan would not fit into the production timeline, so she rejected it.<\/p>\n

According to Van Vicker he was left surprised when he later learned that Ramsey Nouah was brought in from Nigeria and finished the task in just ten days, the exact amount of time he had originally proposed.<\/p>\n

\u201cLater he said the ten days wouldn\u2019t work. Can you believe that later I saw that Ramsey came to do the work? I was tracking the job, and can you believe Ramsey used ten days to do the job?<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t say I wasn\u2019t going to do the work at all. I gave a counter- proposal. Even if he had come to negotiate an improvement on the days, he could have reached an agreement. The person they brought also did ten days,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
