Morocco<\/strong>\u00a0have crushed the United States 4-0 on Friday (02 August) to book a spot in the semi-finals of men\u2019s Olympic\u00a0football\u00a0at\u00a0Paris 2024\u00a0for the very first time in their history.<\/p>\n

The African nation had already written history when they made it out of the group stages \u2013 a feat they had yet to achieve since competing as the under-23s \u2013 and now their dream keeps going.<\/p>\n

They just need one more win to reach the final and be guaranteed a medal.<\/p>\n

Soufiane Rahimi<\/strong>\u00a0got the ball rolling with a spot kick, coolly slotting it into the bottom corner to break the deadlock in the first half.<\/p>\n

The second 45 saw a composed showing from Morocco, as they stepped it up a gear to put things beyond reach for the Americans.<\/p>\n

Abde Ezzalzouli<\/strong>\u2018s pass across the face of goal was finished by\u00a0Ilias Akhomach<\/strong>, before the experienced\u00a0Achraf Hakimi<\/strong>\u00a0all but sealed their progression to the next stage with a sublime solo effort.<\/p>\n

It was a statement performance from the Atlas Lions, who continue this emphatic run in Paris.<\/p>\n
