A team from the ECOWAS Commission, led by the Humanitarian Directorate, is conducting a 4-day assessment mission in Liberia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The mission aims to evaluate the impact of a humanitarian response initiative that disbursed over $440,000 to support vulnerable communities affected by flood disasters and food insecurity.<\/p>\n

Launched in November 2023, the initiative has exceeded expectations by providing critical assistance to 1,878 families, surpassing its initial target of 1,841 families.<\/p>\n

The initiative was designed to be inclusive, with beneficiaries encompassing 10,000 individuals across 30 flood-affected communities, prioritizing support for pregnant women, single mothers, people with disabilities, and those without income.<\/p>\n

This inclusivity is a testament to our respect for all members of the community.<\/p>\n
