Dr Fahad Abdullah Aldossari, Chairman of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), reaffirmed the bank\u2019s dedication to fostering economic growth across the African continent during Sunday\u2019s 50th-anniversary celebration of BADEA and the launch of the Arab-Africa Financial Consortium in Accra.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Acknowledging President Akufo Addo\u2019s support and Ghana\u2019s hosting of the anniversary event, Aldossari underscored the transformative role of the private sector in advancing sustainable development goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ambitious sustainable development agenda calls for a central role for the private sector. I am pleased to see many of our key partners from the private sector here today,\u201d Aldossari remarked.<\/p>\n

He highlighted BADEA\u2019s significant commitment: \u201cOver the past four years, BADEA\u2019s dedication to the private sector and trade has totalled US$5 billion. BADEA has met the expectations of the continent and our shareholders and demonstrated agility and responsiveness in addressing development challenges, including the COVID-19 response.\u201d
\nAldossari expressed gratitude to President Akufo-Addo, describing the event as a testament to enhanced partnerships among financial institutions under his leadership.<\/p>\n

BADEA, established on 18 February 1974, represents 18 Arab countries that are members of the League of Arab States (LAS).<\/p>\n

The anniversary celebration highlighted BADEA\u2019s commitment to advancing African economic cooperation and development initiatives.<\/p>\n
