Chef De Mission of the 13th African Games, Ernest Danso, has tagged the 2023 edition of the competition as one of the best things to happen to Ghana.<\/p>\n

He said this in an exclusive interview on CITI TV\u2019s Football Made in Ghana<\/strong> in the presence of Psychologist Seth Asafo who worked closely with Team Ghana athletes during the competition.<\/p>\n

The 2023 African Games was held in Ghana from March 8 to March 23 with Ghana as the host nation for the first time in its history and it coincided with the West African nation winning the most medals (69) in the multi-sport event.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, I think what it\u2019s brought to this country is something we can\u2019t quantify so for me, it\u2019s one of the best things that has happen to Ghana\u201d and added that \u201cGhana can host more international events\u201d due to the availability of top facilities constructed or renovated for the African Games.<\/p>\n\n

Abeiku Jackson won silver in the 50 Metre Men\u2019s Butterfly event at the 13th African Games<\/p>\n

Egypt will host the next edition of the African Games in 2027.<\/p>
