Government, through the Ministries of Finance and Trade and Industry and partnering agencies will launch the \u2018SME Growth and Opportunity\u2019 Programme at a summit on Tuesday 16th July 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The SME Programme prioritises coordination between partnering agencies to ensure the targeted delivery of financial and technical support to high-growth potential SMEs.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Summit under the theme \u201cBreaking Barriers to SME Growth<\/strong>\u201d will bring together about 150 selected participants from the private sector, academia, business regulatory and compliance institutions, media, industry, multilateral and bilateral partners as well as financial service providers.<\/p>\n

The Minister for Finance, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam said that, \u201cthe summit aims to enhance partnerships, mobilise diverse financial resources for SMEs growth and expansion and provide a platform for public and private sector actors to advocate inclusive policies and strategies required to foster SME growth in Ghana\u201d.<\/p>\n

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will launch the SME Growth and Opportunity Programme at the summit. Other key speakers include Minister for Finance, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, Minister for Trade and Industries, Hon K.T Hammond, Governor of the Central Bank of Ghana, Dr Ernest Addison, and President of the African Development Bank Group, Dr Akinwumi Adesina.<\/p>\n

The event will bring together SMEs, financial service providers, business and regulatory compliance institutions and will also feature an exhibition of SME products.<\/p>\n

The partnering agencies are Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), and the Ghana EXIM Bank, the Development Bank Ghana (DBG), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).<\/p>\n
