Ghanaian second division side Steadfast FC is set for a major financial boost following the permanent transfer of winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku to Leicester City.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leicester triggered a \u20ac17 million purchase clause in Issahaku\u2019s loan deal after he played a significant role in their Championship title win. Notably, this move translates to a \u20ac7.9 million windfall for Steadfast, a club owned by Ghanaian politician Haruna Iddrisu.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old joined Leicester on loan from Sporting CP, who had acquired him from Steadfast in 2022 for \u20ac1.2 million.<\/p>\n

Leicester\u2019s purchase price included a clause requiring them to buy Issahaku if he reached a specific number of appearances, which he achieved during the promotion campaign.<\/p>\n

With Sporting recouping their initial investment, the remaining \u20ac15.8 million (after subtracting the \u20ac1.2 million) is split between the two clubs, resulting in a significant payout for the Ghanaian second-tier team.<\/p>\n\n

Issahaku impressed during his loan spell at Leicester, contributing seven goals and 13 assists last season.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel amazing,\u201d Issahaku declared to Foxes Hub after signing his five-year contract.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s good to be back and I\u2019m just focused again for next season. The Premier League is a new challenge and I\u2019m motivated to succeed alongside the team. I can\u2019t wait to see my teammates again, they\u2019re like family now.\u201d<\/p>\n

He\u2019s poised for continued success as he reunites with his Leicester teammates and prepares for his Premier League debut against Tottenham Hotspur on August 19th.<\/p>\n
