Ghanaian reggae, dancehall, and\u00a0Afrobeats superstar,\u00a0Stonebwoy, headlined the second day of Germany\u2019s biggest reggae and dancehall festival,\u00a0Summerjam, on July 6, 2024.<\/p>\n

He delivered a spectacular performance that elevated the festival\u2019s mood and rekindled memories of last year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n

The African star took the stage promptly around 4:30 p.m., kicking off his set with a performance of \u2018OverLord\u2019. This 2023 single, an ode to his reggae and dancehall roots, resonated well with his German audience.<\/p>\n

It marked the first official single in 2023, following the release of his album \u20185Th Dimension\u2019. From there, 1 GAD performed a series of classic hits, including 2015\u2019s \u2018Run Go\u2019, 2016\u2019s \u2018People Dey\u2019, his collaboration with Davido, \u2018Activate\u2019, and his recent single \u2018Your Body\u2019, hailed as the perfect summer anthem for the festival.<\/p>\n

Stonebwoy dedicated the early part of his set to the legendary reggae icon Bob Marley, performing \u2018Praise Jah In The Moonlight\u2019 and his verse on the \u2018Buffalo Soldier\u2019 remix before swiftly moving through fan favorites like \u2018Hero\u2019, \u2018Apotheke\u2019 featuring DJ Maphorisa, \u2018Non-Stop\u2019, and \u2018Life & Money\u2019.<\/p>\n

Stonebwoy\u2019s\u00a0inclusion at the\u00a0Summerjam\u00a0marks his third appearance at the festival since his historic debut in 2018 and a memorable headline set in 2022.<\/p>\n

Renowned for his flawless musicianship in reggae, dancehall, and\u00a0afrobeats, as well as his\u00a0unrivaled\u00a0stage presence,\u00a0Stonebwoy\u00a0owned the stage and created the distinctive atmosphere that has made the festival famous and beloved worldwide, delivering a spectacular performance to celebrate the festival\u2019s 37th anniversary.<\/p>\n

His performance followed his recent activities in Europe, including his appearance at Paris Fashion Week and an exclusive recording session with the legendary Wyclef Jean in London. He recently released his new single \u201cYour Body,\u201d a vibrant visual narrative celebrating African beauty, self-love, and body positivity.<\/p>\n
