Former Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino has been ordained as an evangelical pastor, three years after co-founding the Manah Church in his hometown, Maceio.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Firmino, alongside his wife Larissa Pereira and pastors Jairo Fernandes and Keila Medeiros, established the church in 2020.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram post, Firmino shared photos of the ordination ceremony, which took place on Sunday, June 30.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old and his wife described the event as \u201cmemorable and unforgettable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat a memorable and unforgettable night. This church was BORN in the heart of God and we are extremely grateful for the privilege of witnessing up close all that the Lord has done,\u201d Firmino wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince our encounter with Christ, a longing burns in our hearts\u2026 Let people know this love that has reached us. Now we have another craving and responsibility\u2026 Be Pastors after God\u2019s heart and who cooperate with the Kingdom.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cToday we are totally flabbergasted when we see the size of God\u2019s mercy upon us. He really picks the unlikely! Thank You Jesus. Thank you Pr Jairo and Pr Keila for pushing us and believing in us.\u201d<\/p>\n
