Ghanaian social media personality Firdaus Iddrisu, better known as Shatta Bandle, has apologized to the Nigerian public and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) following an incident where he was seen spraying Naira notes in Lagos.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shatta Bandle was spotted spraying Naira notes in public in a viral video during his recent visit to Nigeria for Mr. Ibu\u2019s funeral on June 28.<\/p>\n

Nigeria has strict regulations prohibiting the abuse of its currency. Shatta Bandle\u2019s act has become a subject of attention in the face of Nigeria\u2019s stringent law.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, in a similar case, the EFCC arrested Nigerian celebrity Bobrisky for spraying cash at a movie premiere, accusing him of currency mutilation and abuse.<\/p>\n

Shatta Bandle has since expressed remorse for his actions, clarifying that his intent was not to violate any Nigerian laws.<\/p>\n

He stated that he started by spraying dollars, but switched to naira when the dollars ran out, leading to the violation.<\/p>\n

He remarked that he respects\u00a0EFCC and Nigerian laws, referring to Nigeria as his next home.<\/p>\n

\u201cI apologise to you people; I didn\u2019t come to break laws because Nigeria is my next home. I apologise to everybody especially EFCC to forgive me for what I have done,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

EFCC reportedly in search of Shatta Bandle for throwing money while in Nigeria for Mr Ibu\u2019s funeral<\/p>\n

In the wake of the news of his hunt, Shatta has apologized to Nigeria, a Nigerians and EFCC, begging that they shouldn\u2019t pick him up <\/p>\n
