Tumu,\u00a0(UW\/R), June 30, GNA\u00a0\u2013\u00a0The Management and\u00a0Staff of the Tumu College of Education have\u00a0honoured\u00a0two distinguished members of staff for their\u00a0dedicated\u00a0service to the college.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They were\u00a0Mr\u00a0Baloroo\u00a0Lopawiise, a\u00a0Social\u00a0Studies tutor who\u00a0served\u00a0the\u00a0school\u00a0from 2003 to July 2025, and Dr Enoch Mani,\u00a0who also served\u00a0the school from 2010 to December 2025 and taught Liberal\u00a0Studies\u00a0(Graphic design).\u00a0<\/p>\n

The two\u00a0retired tutors\u00a0were joined by their families and colleagues at a\u00a0colourful\u00a0send-off ceremony held at Tumu to\u00a0recognise\u00a0their dedicated and meritorious service to the institution.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The event, held under the theme:\u00a0\u201cCelebrating Service, Friendship and New Beginnings\u201d,\u00a0brought together\u00a0the\u00a0management,\u00a0staff\u00a0and guests to celebrate the remarkable contributions of the two retirees to the growth and development of the College.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Professor Peter Awon-Mateo Agbedemnab,\u00a0the Principal of Tumu College of Education,\u00a0who chaired\u00a0the ceremony,\u00a0described the attendance as a reflection of the respect and admiration the retirees had\u00a0earned over the years.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He explained that the staff send-off dinner was instituted to\u00a0honour\u00a0dedicated employees, strengthen relationships among\u00a0staff\u00a0and celebrate important milestones in the lives of\u00a0the\u00a0workers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prof\u00a0Agbedemnab\u00a0praised\u00a0Mr\u00a0Lopawiise\u00a0and Dr Mani for their commitment,\u00a0professionalism\u00a0and invaluable contributions to the advancement of the College, noting that their legacy would continue to inspire both\u00a0the\u00a0staff and\u00a0the\u00a0students.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr\u00a0Abdulai Babia Bukari,\u00a0the Vice Principal,\u00a0read citations detailing the exemplary service and achievements of the two retirees.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr\u00a0Lopawiise\u00a0and Dr\u00a0Mani\u00a0received\u00a0the citations alongside gifts and tokens of appreciation\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0college community,\u00a0cash\u00a0donations\u00a0and\u00a0smocks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In\u00a0their\u00a0remarks,\u00a0Mr\u00a0Lopawiise\u00a0and Dr Mani expressed appreciation to the management,\u00a0staff\u00a0and students\u00a0of\u00a0the school\u00a0for the support,\u00a0friendship\u00a0and cooperation they received throughout their\u00a0service at the College.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

They encouraged\u00a0other\u00a0staff members to remain committed to excellence and continue working towards the growth of\u00a0the\u00a0Tumu College of Education.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The ceremony featured a toast in\u00a0honour\u00a0of the retirees, musical performances,\u00a0dancing\u00a0and social interaction, allowing colleagues to share fond memories and celebrate the lasting impact the two retirees\u00a0had\u00a0on the institution.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Some of the participants described the ceremony as a fitting tribute to the two outstanding officers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
