Accra, June 19, GNA \u2013 Namibia President\u00a0Netumbo\u00a0Nandi-Ndaitwah on Friday\u00a0departed\u00a0Accra after\u00a0participating\u00a0in the High-Level Consultative Conference on the Next Steps for the Landmark United Nations General Assembly Resolution A\/RES\/80\/250 on the Transatlantic Slave Trade.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

She was seen off at the Accra International Airport by\u00a0Mr\u00a0Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Ghana\u2019s Minister of Foreign Affairs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Accra Summit, which was hosted by President John Dramani Mahama\u00a0sought\u00a0to reinforce the historic step taken by the international community to\u00a0recognise\u00a0the enduring legacy and global consequences of the enslavement of Africans and the\u00a0racialised\u00a0chattel enslavement of Africans.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to the itinerary of President Nandi-Ndaitwah, she is\u00a0proceeding\u00a0from Accra to Tanzania for a State Visit aimed at further strengthening the longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation between Namibia and Tanzania.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
