Accra, June 17, GNA \u2013 Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has inaugurated the Board of Directors of G-Water Bottling Limited and tasked it to position the company as a leading bottled water brand.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The move forms part of GWL\u2019s strategy to diversify its revenue streams, strengthen business operations and create sustainable value through investments beyond its core mandate of potable water production and distribution.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr Eric J. Biliguo,\u00a0Chairman\u00a0of the Board of Directors of GWL, made the call at the inauguration ceremony in Accra.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He described G-Water Bottling Limited, a subsidiary of GWL established to manufacture,\u00a0package\u00a0and distribute drinking water, as a key\u00a0component\u00a0of the company\u2019s long-term growth strategy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr Biliguo said the G-Water brand had earned public confidence due to its quality, purity and taste but had yet to realise its full commercial potential because of limited market availability.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr Adam Mutawakilu, Managing Director of GWL, said the establishment of the subsidiary presented an opportunity for the company to\u00a0leverage\u00a0its\u00a0expertise\u00a0in water production and quality assurance to compete effectively in Ghana\u2019s bottled water industry.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said the company was expected to generate\u00a0additional\u00a0revenue, strengthen the Ghana Water brand, create employment\u00a0opportunities\u00a0and contribute to national economic development.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr Agbesi Nutsu,\u00a0Chairman\u00a0of the Board of G-Water Bottling Limited, pledged the Board\u2019s commitment to providing strategic leadership and effective oversight to ensure the growth and sustainability of the company.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said the Board recognised that the company had been\u00a0established\u00a0not only as a commercial enterprise but also as a strategic subsidiary of Ghana Water Limited with responsibility for manufacturing,\u00a0packaging\u00a0and distributing safe,\u00a0reliable\u00a0and high-quality drinking water.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Other Board members include Dr Hadisu Alhasan, Executive Director; Mr Sulemana Alhassan and Mr Joseph Zefo Kero, Non-Executive Directors; and Madam Innocentia Kuupiel, Chief Executive Officer.\u00a0<\/p>\n
