Paris Saint-Germain\u00a0have yet to pay\u00a0Kylian Mbapp\u00e9\u00a0his bonus plus two months in 2024 wages, sources told ESPN, a factor that contributed to his comments Tuesday about being unhappy with the club.<\/p>\n

Tuesday, Mbapp\u00e9 said\u00a0certain people at PSG\u00a0made him \u201cunhappy\u201d in his first news conference since completing his move on a free transfer to\u00a0Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, sources told ESPN that PSG felt he was being \u201cungrateful\u201d in his comments and added that PSG won\u2019t pay the back pay of \u20ac80 million ($86m) in wages and bonus in an effort to recoup the money for his departure, which the sources said Mbapp\u00e9 agreed to with PSG back in August.<\/p>\n

Sources said Mbapp\u00e9 is seeking the back pay because PSG sidelined him for the end of the season once he told them he was leaving the club.<\/p>\n

He is owed his February bonus plus April and May wages, and it is yet to be seen whether the club will pay him his June wages, sources said.<\/p>\n

Speaking at a news conference with the\u00a0France\u00a0national team Tuesday, Mbapp\u00e9 said the Parisian club told him that he wouldn\u2019t play at all in the 2023-24 season.<\/p>\n

Mbapp\u00e9 had been involved in a row last summer with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi over whether he would extend his contract beyond the end of the season. He credited the club\u2019s manager Luis Enrique and sporting director Luis Campos with \u201csaving\u201d him.<\/p>\n

\u201c[The club] made me understand that I wouldn\u2019t play, they told me to my face, they told me violently,\u201d Mbapp\u00e9 said. \u201cLuis Enrique and Luis Campos saved me. I wouldn\u2019t have set foot on the pitch again without them. Just the fact I was playing was a great source of pride, but it\u2019s certain that next year I won\u2019t be satisfied with a year like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

PSG plan to move on with a new project based more on collective strength, sources told ESPN.<\/p>
