A severe rainstorm that hit Adaklu\u00a0Kodzobi\u00a0Ando near\u00a0Adaklu\u00a0Kodzobi\u00a0in the\u00a0Adaklu\u00a0District on Saturday,\u00a0May\u00a030,\u00a0\u00a0has\u00a0caused extensive damage\u00a0to the property\u00a0of residents.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The storm, which swept through the community, uprooted and displaced two metal shipping containers, carrying them onto a nearby residential building.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One of the containers, owned by Madam Helen Agbeli, was\u00a0being used\u00a0as a business\u00a0centre. She told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the storm destroyed several items, including laptop and desktop computers, printers, and a large quantity of stationery.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Madam Agbeli said she would require substantial financial support to repair the damaged container and restore the destroyed equipment to resume operations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She noted that the business\u00a0centre\u00a0was the only one serving students\u00a0of\u00a0the University of Health and Allied Sciences and Ho Technical University\u00a0residing\u00a0at the Bedrock Hostel within the community.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite the destruction, Madam Agbeli expressed gratitude that no lives were lost or injuries recorded.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr\u00a0Nelson Segla, owner of the building on which the containers landed, said the occupants were spared by what he described as \u201cdivine intervention.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

He\u00a0indicated\u00a0that the heavy containers caused significant structural damage to the building,\u00a0rendering\u00a0it unsafe for habitation until the containers are removed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
