Accra, June 13, GNA -\u202fThe\u202fJune\u202fedition of\u202fthe National Theatre\u2019s\u202fflagship family education and entertainment\u202fprogramme,\u202fFunworld, has been\u202fscheduled\u202ffor\u202fFriday,\u202fJune\u202f19,\u202f2026, at\u202fthe\u202fNational Theatre main\u202fauditorium.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The\u202fspecial edition, which takes off at 10:00am,\u202fwould\u202fcommemorate\u202fWorld Earth Day and World\u202fEnvironment Day, on the theme, \u201cOur Power, Our Planet \u2013 Inspired by Nature, For a Sustainable Future.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe programme seeks to promote environmental awareness while nurturing creativity and talent among Ghana\u2019s youth,\u201d a\u202frelease\u202fcopied\u202fto\u202fGhana\u202fNews\u202fAgency\u202fsaid.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThis month\u2019s edition would\u202fbring together 13 basic Schools from the Accra Metropolis for an exciting live stage showdown.\u201d\u202f\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Organisers said students will use their creativity and innovation to\u202fchampion environmental sustainability through a variety of engaging and educational activities.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAudiences can look forward to powerful drama and poetry performances focused on environmental conservation and responsible stewardship of the planet,\u201d it said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Patrons are expected to pay GHC 20.00 for the show, which would\u202finclude\u202fquiz and debate competition\u202fas students\u202fengage in intellectual battles, demonstrating their knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills on environmental issues.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAdding colour and excitement to the programme will be captivating dance performances and a fashion show, showcasing rhythm, culture, creativity, and style, while promoting environmental consciousness,\u201d the statement added.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Funworld\u202fhas over the years\u202fprovided\u202fstudents with a platform to build confidence, teamwork, discipline, leadership skills, and artistic excellence.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The programme remains a valuable avenue for nurturing young talents and inspiring positive social change through the arts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Parents, teachers, students,\u202fhave been encouraged to join the sessions as\u202fyoung people use their talents to advocate for a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.\u202f\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
