Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC will host its Annual Golf Championship at Achimota Golf Club on May 30, uniting four premium brands on a single competitive platform for the first time.<\/p>\n

Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC (GGB PLC) is bringing Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Heineken and Malta Guinness together under one championship format, a departure from previous editions that centered on a single brand. The 2026 event will draw 120 of Ghana\u2019s most distinguished golfers, business leaders and industry figures for a day of elite competition, brand experiences and premium hospitality.<\/p>\n

The 2025 edition, held under the Johnnie Walker banner and strongly endorsed by the Ghana Golf Association, was named Golf Tournament of the Year by TheGolfer Online, a recognition that organisers say set the foundation for the expanded 2026 concept. The evolution reflects GGB PLC\u2019s decision to use competitive golf as a single stage for its entire premium portfolio rather than individual brand activations.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is precisely the kind of partnership that moves our sport forward,\u201d said Ghana Golf Association President Leonard Kweku Okyere.<\/p>\n

Play will be opened by a ceremonial tee-off involving GGB PLC Board Chairman Dr. Felix Elvis Addo and Managing Director Mr. Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Feraille, joined by the President of the Ghana Golf Association and the Captain of Achimota Golf Club. Participants will move through curated brand activations across the course, including signature refreshment experiences at Hole 9. The competitive round will be followed by an elevated food and beverage pairing session at the clubhouse, designed to showcase each brand in a culinary context.<\/p>\n

The day closes with a dinner, awards ceremony and an after-party, rounding out what GGB PLC is positioning as both a sporting and corporate occasion. Media coverage will run across television, radio, print and digital platforms, extending the championship\u2019s reach across business, lifestyle and sporting audiences in Ghana.<\/p>\n

MD Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Feraille said the 2026 championship builds on what was demonstrated in 2025 and goes further by creating a single platform where all four of GGB PLC\u2019s leading brands can be encountered together. He described the event as the company\u2019s statement about its role in Ghana\u2019s lifestyle and culture.<\/p>\n
