Ghana has successfully evacuated all its embassy staff from Iran following the intensifying conflict involving the United States and Israel, Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has announced.<\/p>\n

In a statement shared on social media today, Monday, March 2, the minister disclosed that the evacuation was completed safely amid growing security concerns triggered by the latest hostilities in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am delighted to announce that we have conducted a successful evacuation of all our embassy staff in Iran,\u201d Mr Ablakwa stated.<\/p>\n

He assured the public that the affected diplomats are unharmed. \u201cThe Ghanaian diplomats are safe and in high spirits,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The minister further revealed that Ghana\u2019s diplomatic mission in Tehran has been shut down indefinitely. \u201cGhana\u2019s embassy in Iran is now closed sine die,\u201d he noted, emphasising that protecting Ghanaian nationals remains paramount.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe safety, welfare and protection of Ghanaians remains our utmost priority in these tempestuous times,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

The evacuation comes against the backdrop of escalating military exchanges between Israel, Iran, and the United States, which have heightened fears of a broader regional confrontation.<\/p>\n
