The Judiciary Secretary has urged Ghanaians to support and engage with the country\u2019s specialised courts, highlighting their critical role in delivering timely and effective justice.<\/p>\n

Speaking in an interview on JoyNews\u2019 The Law <\/strong>on Sunday, Musah Ahmed explained that specialised courts are not new to Ghana, pointing to existing divisions such as fast-track courts, financial crimes courts, and commercial courts, all of which are part of the High Court.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese courts were created to handle specific types of cases more efficiently, and their expansion continues that goal,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cCitizens should embrace these courts,\u201d he urged. \u201cTheir support and engagement are essential as we continue to strengthen our judicial system and ensure justice is delivered swiftly and fairly.\u201d<\/p>\n

He further noted that Ghana is following the lead of several countries, including Kenya, South Africa, Canada, and Australia, where specialised courts have long been used to tackle complex legal issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not a one-of-a-kind experiment. It is a proven system internationally, and we are adapting it to Ghana\u2019s context,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

He stressed that the expansion of specialised courts will target critical areas such as corruption, financial crimes, cyber offences, and environmental violations, helping to reduce delays and improve the quality of judicial outcomes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
