Slim Shady is back, back again. But, apparently, not for long.<\/p>\n

Eminem appears to be killing off his alter ego in his latest project, an album titled, \u201cThe Death of Slim Shady (Coup de gr\u00e2ce).\u201d<\/p>\n

He has dropped the album\u2019s first single, \u201cHoudini,\u201d which samples the Steve Miller Band\u2019s 1982 hit, \u201cAbracadabra.\u201d His lyrics take aim at several people, including Megan Thee Stallion and even himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion if she would collab with me, would I really have a shot at a feat?\u201d he raps, referencing\u00a0Tory Lanez shooting Megan Thee Stallion i<\/a>n the feet in 2020, a crime for which Lanez\u00a0was sentenced to 10 years in prison.<\/a><\/p>\n

Eminem also\u00a0released a music video for the song, in which he gets a little help from some of his celebrity friends.<\/p>\n\n

It opens with the 51-year-old rapper\u2019s music manager, Paul Rosenberg, leaving a seemingly less than positive voicemail about the new album before Eminem\u2019s mentor and frequent collaborator, Dr. Dre, tells him, \u201cWe\u2019ve got a problem.\u201d<\/p>\n

The issue being a portal that allows time travel between the present and 2002. Cameos from 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and Pete Davidson follow.<\/p>\n

Eminem battles it out with his younger-self in the video, which will remind fans of his 2002 \u201cWithout Me\u201d video.<\/p>\n

Recently, a faux obituary<\/a>\u00a0appeared for his Slim Shady alter ego in his hometown newspaper, the Detroit Free Press. It referred to Slim Shady a \u201ca rogue splinter in the flourishing underground rap scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Gr\u00e2ce)\u201d follows Eminem\u2019s 2020 album, \u201cMusic to Be Murdered By.\u201d The full collection of new music is set for release this summer.<\/p>\n
