Augustine Okrah produced a vintage display with a deadly double in last Saturday\u2019s pulsating 3-2 clash with Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema.
\nYet his clinical finishing was not enough to save Bechem United from a damaging defeat \u2014 their 10th in 23 league matches.<\/p>\n

The loss leaves the Hunters marooned on 29 points, just three clear of the relegation trapdoor with 11 tense fixtures remaining.
\nBut while the table paints a worrying picture, the 32-year-old striker is anything but shaken. Okrah is convinced that his goals will keep coming, as the former goal-king has his sights locked firmly on reclaiming the Golden Boot crown at the end of the season.\u00a0
\nOkrah has now struck six goals in his last six league games, powering his way to the top of the scoring charts as joint leader on nine goals alongside Bibiani Gold Stars\u2019 sharp-shooter Samuel Atta Kumi.
\nThe veteran forward, who famously bagged 16 goals to win the league\u2019s Golden Boot in 2013\/14, is clearly chasing that crown once more.\u00a0
\nFor 32-year-old Okrah, the scent of another personal triumph is unmistakable \u2014 but he insists the team comes first.
\n\u201cWinning the goal-king will be nice, but I\u2019m working hard to get my team to finish the season in a good position,\u201d he told Graphic Sports.
\n\u201cI\u2019m not satisfied with our current position; we have to improve.\u201d

\nBechem\u2019s position remains precarious, and Okrah knows survival is paramount. Yet his form suggests a striker relishing the chase \u2014 sharp, confident and hungry for more.
\n\u201cI urge our supporters to keep supporting and praying for us as they always do, and we shall not disappoint them this season. We will do our best to make them happy,\u201d he added.
\nThere is also a bigger ambition quietly fuelling the veteran\u2019s revival. A sustained scoring streak could thrust him back into national team contention ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
\n\u201cPlaying for the national team is the dream of any footballer, and playing at the World Cup is an even bigger icing on the cake,\u201d said the former Asante Kotoko forward.
\n\u201cIf they invite me, why not? I\u2019m a Ghanaian, and what\u2019s important is to do well with your club. I\u2019m working hard to push my team into a good position in the league, and the rest can follow.\u201d<\/p>\n
