The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a series of planned and emergency maintenance works across several regions this week, resulting in temporary power outages in multiple communities.<\/p>\n

In the Greater Accra Region, the Tema Region will experience significant interruptions. On Sunday, February 22, from 9:00am to 3:00pm, the affected areas include \u201cFennice, Saglemi, Metal, Lakpleku, Housing, RSG, Rainbow Paints, Bundase Military Training Camp, TT Brothers, Macbaron Charllets, Zonda Trucks and surrounding areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

The following day, Monday, February 23, customers in \u201cLeisure Hours, Nungua Zongo, Royal Park, Blue Blue, Kpeshie Divisional Headquarters, Coco Beach and surrounding areas\u201d will be affected from 9:00am to 3:00pm. On Tuesday, February 24, the same time window will see outages in \u201cKpong, Odumase, Nuaso, Agormeda, Kojonya, Comm. 19 Annex, Lashibi, Klagon and surrounding areas.\u201d The region\u2019s schedule concludes on Thursday, February 26, with a planned outage from 9:00am to 3:00pm for \u201cGCB Training School, Buade, Kokobribri, Royal Ravico, Junction Mall, Watch Tower, Alton Hotel, Regimanuel Estates, Queensland Int. Sch., Old Ningo, New Ningo and surrounding areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Accra East Region has a busy week of maintenance. On Sunday, February 22, an emergency maintenance exercise will take place from 9:00am to 3:00pm, affecting \u201cElectro Volta house and surrounding areas.\u201d Monday, February 23, will see a planned outage from 9:00am to 5:00pm for \u201cTeiman, Ga East Hospital, Boshe Norman, and surrounding areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, February 24, the same time slot will affect \u201cSantana Market, Ayikuma, Doryumu, Kodeabe, and surrounding areas.\u201d Wednesday, February 25, brings another planned shutdown from 9:00am to 5:00pm for \u201cLa Cemetery, Parts of Burma Camp, Twumasiwaa Hospital, Dzen Ayor, Ability, and surrounding areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finally, on Thursday, February 26, a maintenance exercise from 9:00am to 5:00pm will impact \u201cLakeside Estate Com. 6 & 8, New Legon, Block factory (East Legon), Sasaabi Township, Mensah Bar, and surrounding areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the Accra West Region, an emergency maintenance exercise is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, from 9:00am to 5:00pm, affecting \u201cLatter Day Saint HQS, Ghana Immigration Service, Alisa Hotel, Swiss Embassy, WAEC, and surrounding areas.\u201d The planned maintenance for the week begins on Monday, February 23, from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with \u201cAbedi Pele Park, Dunyo, and surrounding areas\u201d set to be affected.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, February 24, the outage during the same hours will impact \u201cRed Top, Old Barrier, New Aplaku, Eden Height, Kings University, Alogboshie, Achimota Neoplan, Benjilo, and Surroundings areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wednesday, February 25, will see power interruptions for \u201cAkweteyman, New Bortianor, Red top, and surrounding areas.\u201d The week\u2019s schedule for the region concludes on Thursday, February 26, with an outage from 9:00am to 5:00pm for \u201cKatapor, Edusa, Tetegu, White cross, Doblo, Hebron, Medie, Sarpeiman, satellite, John Teye, Fountain Gate chapel, Franko Estate, Ecobloc and surrounding areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Central Region also has two days of scheduled maintenance. On Monday, February 23, from 9:00am to 4:00pm, the outage will affect \u201cSaltpond Zongo, Kurankyekrom, Kormantse, Abandze, Parts of Anomabo, Ekurabadze, Asafora and surrounding areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

A second, more extensive maintenance exercise is planned for Thursday, February 26, during the same hours. This will affect \u201cAbonko, Anoky\u00ed, Henii, Nananom junction, Roman hospital, Bafikrom, Greenwood, New Nkusukum, Krampakrom, Inshalahu, Saltpond Zongo, Kurankyekrom, Kormantse, Abandze, Parts of Anomabo, Ekurabadze, Asafora and surrounding areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the Ashanti Region, an emergency maintenance exercise is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, from 11:00am to 2:00pm. This will affect \u201cBarekese Headworks, Ahenkro, Kodie, Aduamoa, Aduman, Seidi, Nkawie, Afari, Toase, Gyankobaah, Kasaprako, Sepaase, Hiawu Besease, Edwanfo, Abuakwa Maakro, Tetrem and surrounding areas.\u201d A planned maintenance exercise will also take place on Tuesday, February 24, from 9:00am to 4:00pm, affecting \u201cAgona Municipal Assembly, Agona Police Station, Agona Zongo, Bipoa Town, Bodomase, Afamaso, and surrounding areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

ECG has stated that these exercises are necessary to improve service delivery and has regretted \u201cthe inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
