Media icon Nana Aba Anamoah has revealed that her bucket list interview is topped not by a politician or a global tycoon, but by the \u2018Queen of the Airwaves\u2019, Doreen Andoh, as well as the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Multimedia Group.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Joy FM\u2019s Showbiz A-Z<\/strong> on Saturday, 21st February 2026, Nana Aba confessed that her fascination with Doreen Andoh stems from a phone call she made as an average Joe fresh out of secondary school. <\/p>\n

Nana Aba\u2019s revelation highlights a rarely seen side of the formidable broadcaster, that of a wide-eyed fan inspired by the kindness of a veteran.<\/p>\n

A soothing voice and a life-changing call<\/strong><\/p>\n

Recalling her early days of \u201ctrying to figure out this media thing\u201d, Nana Aba shared an anecdote about calling Joy FM years ago to seek advice. At a time when she was \u201cnobody\u201d, she was shocked to be put directly through to the radio legend.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe spoke to me on the phone. I said, \u2018Oh, I want to be a media person, but I don\u2019t know what to do,\u2019 and she gave me some advice that I don\u2019t even remember, but it was her voice. It was so soothing on the phone, and I thought, \u2018Oh, this woman is adorable,\u2019\u201d Nana Aba recounted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Despite running into Andoh frequently over her decades-long career, Nana Aba admitted she has never told Doreen about that pivotal phone call.<\/p>\n

30 years of relevance: The Doreen Andoh mystery<\/strong><\/p>\n

For Nana Aba, the primary motivation for wanting to sit across from Doreen is to decode her unprecedented longevity. With Doreen Andoh surpassing the 30-year mark in broadcasting, Nana Aba expressed awe at how the midmorning show host has maintained her grip on the audience without ever becoming stale.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how Doreen has done it\u2026 30 years,\u201d she remarked. \u201cThere isn\u2019t a single time you tune into the radio and say, \u2018Oh, my bad, I\u2019m tuning off.\u2019 You will listen from the beginning to the end. And she [Doreen] still has that power.\u201d<\/p>\n

So profound is this admiration that Nana Aba publicly urged the radio goddess to document her journey: \u201cDoreen should be writing a book\u2026 because I would love to read that book.\u201d<\/p>\n
