The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has expressed deep concern over recent attacks on its personnel while performing their professional duties, describing the incidents as \u201cdeeply concerning and unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement issued by Dr. Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, Director-General of GHS, the health service emphasised its commitment to delivering the highest standard of care to clients and patients while also insisting that staff must be treated with dignity and respect.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile we will continue to strive to provide excellent care and service at all times, we equally expect that our staff will be treated with dignity and respect,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n

Dr Akoriyea stated categorically that the Service stands firmly with its dedicated and hardworking staff, warning that any acts compromising their safety, well-being, or ability to perform their duties would not be tolerated. <\/p>\n

\u201cAny form of aggression, intimidation, or violence against them is strongly condemned,\u201d the Director-General added.<\/p>\n

The health service further reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment within its facilities. <\/p>\n

The statement highlighted ongoing collaboration with relevant security agencies to strengthen protective measures, ensuring that both patients and staff can operate in safe conditions.<\/p>\n
