Ghana and Lebanon have taken steps to strengthen bilateral security cooperation following a high-level engagement led by the Interior Minister, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, in Accra on February 16, 2026.<\/p>\n

The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration to address transnational crime and emerging security threats.<\/p>\n

The discussions brought together senior Lebanese security officials and Ghanaian authorities to explore joint strategies for combating cyber fraud, drug trafficking, money laundering and other cross-border criminal activities.<\/p>\n

Officials indicated that intelligence sharing and coordinated responses would be central to the renewed cooperation.<\/p>\n

The Lebanese delegation was led by Ali Samih Jaafar, Consul General of Ghana in Lebanon, and Morshed El Hajj Sleiman, Deputy Director of State Security in Lebanon.<\/p>\n

They were accompanied by Colonel Ayman Machmouchi, Head of the Drug Repression Bureau, and Lieutenant Colonel Salah El Hajj, Head of the Office of the Deputy State Security.<\/p>\n

Officials said the engagement underscores the growing collaboration between the two countries in tackling cross-border crime networks.<\/p>\n
