The National Youth Authority (NYA) has hailed the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP) as a transformative social initiative, with CEO Osman Abdullai Ayariga, Esq., describing it as \u201cthe greatest social intervention programme in Ghana\u2019s history.\u201d<\/p>\n

The remark was made during the official distribution of tools and equipment to the first batch of beneficiaries in the Greater Accra Region.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Ayariga said, \u201cThis programme is not just about training; it is about empowering our youth with the skills, tools, and confidence to create opportunities and drive economic growth. It represents a long-term investment in Ghana\u2019s human capital.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beneficiaries received equipment such as sewing machines, dryers, toolboxes, and safety gear to support careers in tailoring, carpentry, electrical work, and beauty services.<\/p>\n

The NYA CEO emphasised that NAP is fully aligned with the NDC 2024 manifesto, which prioritises inclusive growth, youth empowerment, and job creation.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Mahama has consistently highlighted that investing in young people is investing in the future of Ghana. NAP ensures that no young Ghanaian is left behind due to financial or social barriers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mr Ayariga also highlighted the importance of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in fostering industrialisation and reducing unemployment.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy equipping our youth with practical skills and integrating apprenticeships into national development, we are building a resilient workforce ready to meet the demands of a changing economy,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Concluding his address, the CEO encouraged beneficiaries and stakeholders to maximise the opportunities provided.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the young Ghanaians here today, these tools are not just equipment \u2013 they are instruments of independence, dignity, and hope. When we empower our youth, we empower Ghana,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
