President John Dramani Mahama has urged members of the newly constituted Presidential Advisory Group on the Economy to play a pivotal role in restoring Ghana\u2019s economic credibility and competitiveness.<\/p>\n

He made the call during the swearing-in ceremony at the Jubilee House.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur task now is correction without amnesia, learning from both our successes and our failures,\u201d President Mahama said. \u201cI want you to be part of the solutions and ultimately part of the success story.\u201d<\/p>\n

He emphasised that the Group\u2019s counsel would be central to rebuilding credibility, restoring fiscal discipline, attracting investment, re-anchoring expectations and re-establishing Ghana as a serious, predictable and competitive economy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not simply about recovery,\u201d the President stressed. \u201cIt is about institutional reform, structural transformation, and a permanent reset of our economic governance culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

President Mahama described the advisory body as a platform to draw on expertise from academia, the private sector and public service, with the aim of ensuring that policy decisions are informed, strategic and sustainable.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
