Despite Medeama SC\u2019s commanding position at the top of the Ghana Premier League table, head coach Ibrahim Tanko insists his side is far from invincible and can be beaten on any given day.
\nThe Tarkwa-based club went on a 10-game unbeaten run in the league before their streak was halted last weekend by Nations FC, who handed them a 2-1 defeat at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The loss, Medeama\u2019s second of the season, did little to dent their title charge as they remain top of the table with 43 points, maintaining a seven-point lead over second-placed Bibiani Gold Stars.
\n\u201cI always say we\u2019re not invincible. We have our strengths and our weaknesses, so we are going to prepare very well and face the rest of the games,\u201d Tanko said.
\nThe former Black Stars assistant coach also guided Medeama to the quarter-finals of the MTN FA Cup last Saturday, following a dramatic 4-2 victory over FC Samartex 1996 on penalties after regulation time ended goalless.
\nTanko revealed that injuries had threatened his campaign in recent weeks but expressed relief over the return of key players, including Manuel Mantey and Emma, who have both resumed training.
\n\u201cBoth are training very well. Mantey is back and Emma has also returned,\u201d he said. \u201cEmma came back about two weeks ago, but we didn\u2019t want to rush him. He played in a friendly match yesterday and did very well, so I think he is fully back.\u201d<\/p>\n
