Telecel Ghana is set to transform the University of Ghana into the hub of music and dance this Valentine\u2019s Day, as Black Sherif, KiDi, and Kweku Smoke headline the telco\u2019s high-energy campus party dubbed Telecel TurnUp.<\/p>\n

Slated for Saturday, 14th<\/sup> February, to climax the university\u2019s Akwaaba Week celebration, Telecel TurnUp is bringing together a lineup of crowd favourites and rising talents in music and dance for a night of nonstop entertainment.<\/p>\n

Anchoring the night are three of Ghana\u2019s most magnetic music hitmakers, as Black Sherif leads the charge with his raw energy and chart-topping global anthems. <\/p>\n

Joining Blacko is Ghana\u2019s official \u2018Sugar Daddy,\u2019 KiDi, ready to bring the smooth vocals and lover-boy vibes to the stage, as well as Gen-Z crowd-pulling artiste, Kweku Smoke, who is bent on delivering an unforgettable performance that promises to throw the audience into a frenzy.<\/p>\n

Director of Enterprise Business and Wholesale at Telecel Ghana, Tawa Bolarin, said TurnUp is designed to celebrate existing partnerships with universities on the network\u2019s tertiary bundles. <\/p>\n

\u201cTurnUp is our flagship campus party created specifically to celebrate tertiary institutions benefitting from our special packages. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe organise it every year to appreciate our relationship with the host university and appreciate the student population, who are a major part of the Telecel brand,\u201d Ms Bolarin said. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt could be your university next year.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of the mainstays of the campus party experience is the talent discovery challenge, the Telecel Next Turn Up Star. University of Ghana students with musical or dance talents are invited to post short performance videos on Instagram or TikTok, tagging Telecel Ghana and using #TelecelNextTurnUpStar. <\/p>\n

From there, top talent will be shortlisted, and fan engagement, including likes and comments, will determine the four high-performing talents who will have the chance to share the stage with Blacko, KiDi, and Kweku Smoke.<\/p>\n

The two most outstanding music and dance performers will walk away with the title of the Telecel Next TurnUp Star and a total of GH\u20b510,000 each, along with priceless exposure.<\/p>\n

Beyond entertainment, Telecel Ghana has invested in university partnerships as the telecom operator continues to roll out highly discounted bundles, reinforcing its reputation as a brand that genuinely understands students\u2019 and youth needs.<\/p>\n

As part of Akwaaba Week, Telecel is rolling out a two-day Cashless Bazaar ahead of the climax event, where students can shop, eat, and relax while making cashless payments with Telecel Cash.<\/p>\n

There will also be Service Clinics on campus, offering SIM registration, SIM swaps, Telecel Cash setup, and network support. Brand partners, including Bel Beverage, Coca-Cola, Hotwav, iTel, and Close Up, will be on the ground with activations and product giveaways, while Uber will offer discounted rides to make getting to and from the varsity convenient.<\/p>\n

Since its launch in 2021, Telecel Turn Up has become one of Ghana\u2019s most anticipated campus experiences. It was previously hosted at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2022 and at the University of Energy and Natural Resources in 2024.<\/p>\n

Exclusive to Telecel users, students can purchase and activate SIM cards at designated activation points across the traditional halls ahead of the event, ensuring no student misses out.<\/p>\n
