The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), has launched a new executive programme aimed at giving senior professionals a faster route to formal marketing qualifications, without the need for years of traditional academic study.<\/p>\n

National President of CIMG, Mr Michael Abbiw, said the initiative was developed in response to growing demand from business leaders who want practical marketing skills but lack the time for long-term programmes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe listened to practitioners, business owners and senior leaders who wanted a marketing qualification but simply didn\u2019t have the time to go through years of study. This programme is our response,\u201d Mr. Abbiw said. \u201cIt is built on your experience and designed to help you contribute even more to the growth of the profession.\u201d<\/p>\n

The programme, known as the CIMG Accelerator Marketing Programme, is designed for senior executives, faculty members and entrepreneurs operating at the highest levels of leadership and influence. It focuses on equipping participants with strategic, future-oriented marketing skills to help them navigate complex business environments and drive growth.<\/p>\n

According to CIMG, the initiative delivers advanced marketing training through an intensive and practical approach, targeting professionals who are already leading organisations across key sectors of the economy.<\/p>\n

Mr. Abbiw also assured participants of the credibility and international recognition of the qualification.<\/p>\n

\u201cCIMG has a charter and the legal backing to award qualifications that are recognised not only in Ghana, but across Africa and beyond,\u201d he said. \u201cWith our partnership with the African Marketing Confederation and the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK, participants can be confident they are earning a qualification with real international standing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The launch comes at a time when Ghana\u2019s business community is placing increasing emphasis on professional development, innovation and competitiveness, especially as companies adapt to digital transformation and regional trade opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).<\/p>\n

The Accelerator Programme has already attracted strong industry support, with several major organisations enrolling their executives in the inaugural cohort. Participating companies include Vanguard Assurance, National Investment Bank, FirstBank Ghana, Standard Chartered Bank Ghana, Tobinco Pharmaceuticals, Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company, and Asanko Gold Ghana Limited, among others.<\/p>\n

CIMG says this broad participation reflects the programme\u2019s relevance across sectors such as finance, energy, manufacturing, hospitality, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods.<\/p>\n

The programme is delivered through three intensive modules. The first focuses on Marketing Risk Management, equipping participants to manage risks from strategy development to implementation. The second, Marketing Execution Management, emphasises market creation, security and the integration of legal and financial perspectives into marketing decisions.<\/p>\n

The third module, Integrated Sustainability Marketing, centres on the shift from \u201cbrown\u201d to \u201cgreen\u201d marketing practices and incorporates environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles, preparing participants to lead responsible and future-ready organisations.<\/p>\n

CIMG believes the programme will help strengthen marketing leadership in Ghana and position local professionals to compete more effectively on the continental and global stage.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
