Twelve passengers are in critical condition following a three-vehicle accident at Gomoa Amenfi on the Winneba\u2013Mankessim Highway.<\/p>\n

The crash involved a Toyota Voxy passenger vehicle with registration number GN 9883-25, a Nissan Altima with registration number GW 1895-09, and a Hyundai Elantra saloon car with registration number GR 1972-15.<\/p>\n

According to information gathered, the Toyota Voxy, which was conveying passengers from Kasoa to Cape Coast, attempted a wrongful overtaking and collided head-on with the Nissan Altima travelling in the opposite direction.<\/p>\n

Following the impact, the Hyundai Elantra also rammed into the Toyota Voxy.<\/p>\n

Eight passengers aboard the Toyota Voxy sustained critical injuries, while four occupants of the Nissan Altima were also seriously injured, bringing the total number of casualties to twelve.<\/p>\n

All the injured persons were rushed to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for emergency medical treatment.<\/p>\n

Personnel from the Winneba Police and the Ghana National Fire Service from Apam responded to the scene and worked to clear the road to ease traffic congestion.<\/p>\n

Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
