The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, on Tuesday paid courtesy visits to former President Nana Akufo-Addo at his office in Labone, Accra, as well as former President John Agyekum Kufuor at Peduase.<\/p>\n

The visits comes in the aftermath of the party\u2019s presidential primaries, which concluded with a decisive outcome favouring Dr. Bawumia.<\/p>\n

During discussions with Akufo-Addo, the two leaders focused on strategies to strengthen internal party cohesion and the importance of leveraging lessons from past electoral successes. <\/p>\n

The engagement highlighted the role of elder statesmen in ensuring continuity and unity within the party.<\/p>\n

Dr. Bawumia expressed gratitude to Akufo-Addo for his continued support and counsel, acknowledging his encouragement following his nomination as the party\u2019s flagbearer.<\/p>\n

He also reaffirmed his commitment to leading a united and stronger NPP ahead of the 2028 general elections.<\/p>\n
