The government has been urged to adopt a targeted approach to coastal protection, with about 550 kilometres of Ghana\u2019s coastline requiring assessment to determine erosion risks and the interventions needed to protect vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n

The Volta, Greater Accra, Central and Western regions have been identified as the areas most critically affected by coastal erosion, underscoring the need for a comprehensive coastal management strategy to guide interventions.<\/p>\n
