Asante Kotoko head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, has stated that his side has no excuse not to beat Aduana FC in their MTN FA Cup clash this weekend, following their 3\u20131 defeat to Heart of Lions last Saturday.
\nThe disappointed coach revealed that he is targeting a double this season\u2014winning both the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup\u2014and insisted his team must go all out to overcome Aduana.
\nCoach Zito, who was visibly livid after the weekend loss, said his side would not repeat the mistakes they committed during their league match.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefinitely we have to win that game (against Aduana). We don\u2019t have any excuse because my main objective is to win the league or the FA Cup\u2014or even the double. So definitely, I have to work hard because we cannot afford to lose to Aduana,\u201d he said.
\nHe added that the team would return to the drawing board to identify their shortcomings and work hard to redeem themselves.
\nZito also expressed disappointment at his side\u2019s inability to close the gap on league leaders Medeama SC, but remains confident he can pick up the pieces and correct their mistakes.
\nThe Kotoko coach defended his tactical approach, insisting that the formation he has used has served the team well so far.
\nAccording to him, one poor result does not make a formation ineffective, stressing that it is the players who execute the system, not the formation itself.
\nCoach Zito also declined to comment on whether club captain Samba O\u2019Neil will extend his contract, which is nearing its end.
\n\u201cNobody knows what is going to happen tomorrow, so let\u2019s put it aside,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
