Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Foreign Affairs Minister and Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has awarded full scholarships to six young athletes from Mepe who excelled at the National Junior Olympics.<\/p>\n

The children, aged between seven and fifteen, amassed nine medals at the competition, the highest tally of any participant, held at the University of Ghana.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a pleasant surprise for the six super talented kids from Mepe in my beloved constituency who emerged champions at the national Junior Olympics,\u201d Mr. Ablakwa said.<\/p>\n

In addition to the scholarships covering education from basic through tertiary levels, Mr. Ablakwa announced a cash prize of GHS 20,000 to support the children\u2019s training and development. \u201cThey won nine medals \u2014 the highest accumulation at the competition. You made us all proud,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The North Tongu MP expressed confidence that the investment in education and training would nurture the young athletes into future Ghanaian sports stars.<\/p>\n

\u201cMay you in a few years become Ghana\u2019s next Olympic champions,\u201d he said, stressing the importance of combining academic and athletic excellence.<\/p>\n

Mr. Ablakwa encouraged other young people in the constituency to pursue their talents, noting that support from leadership and the community can transform potential into achievement.<\/p>\n

The scholarships are intended to ensure the champions have every opportunity to realise their full potential both academically and in sports.<\/p>\n
