Stephen Amoah, Member of Parliament for Nyiaeso and campaign team member for Kennedy Agyapong, has affirmed his readiness to work for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) despite his side\u2019s loss in the weekend\u2019s flagbearer race.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Joy FM\u2019s Super Morning Show<\/strong> on Monday, Amoah, also called Sticka, emphasised that he remains a dedicated party member and is ready to contribute to the success of both Dr Bawumia and the NPP in the run-up to future elections.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhatever happens, I will never stop supporting my party. With respect to the results, probably my team did not win, I am ready to work for my party, for Dr Bawumia and his team,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He said this following Saturday, January 31, flagbearer election of the NPP. <\/p>\n

After the polls, the Electoral Commission officially declared Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the winner of the party\u2019s 2028 presidential primary after he secured an outright majority of the valid votes cast.<\/p>\n

A total of 196,462 ballots were cast nationwide at 333 voting centres, with 561 ballots rejected. Dr Bawumia secured 110,640 votes.<\/p>\n

Results of the NPP flagbearer primary:<\/p>\n

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia \u2013 110,640 votes (56.48%)<\/p>\n

Kennedy Agyapong \u2013 46,555 votes (23.76%)<\/p>\n

Dr Bryan Acheampong \u2013 36,303 votes (18.53%)<\/p>\n

Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum \u2013 1,999 votes (1.02%)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
